Golwalkar remarks: Court Notice To Satheesan, to appear – Court Notice To Satheesan

Kannur ∙ Court notice to opposition leader V. D. Satheesan for his remarks regarding RSS Acharya Golwalkar. The Kannur Munsiff Court directed Satheesan to appear on the 12th of next month. The court order is a continuation of the remarks made in connection with the constitutional controversy that led to the resignation of Minister Saji Cherian.

The complaint alleged that Golwalkar was compared to the speech of Saji Cherian who insulted the Constitution. The case was filed by KK Balaram, a fringe wing of the RSS. The RSS lawyer had sent a notice once morest Satheesan’s statement that Saji Cherian had said the same thing that Golwalkar had said regarding the Constitution.

Satheesan said that RSS’s lawyer’s notice was strange and dismissed it with the contempt it deserved. After making it clear that he stands by what he said and is not ready to take back his words, the pictures of Satheesan’s earlier participation in RSS programs spread on social media and ignited a new controversy.

In 2013, BJP State Vice President C. Sadanandan released pictures of Satheesan participating in the book release ceremony as part of Bharatiya Vicharakendram District Conference in Thrissur. But Satheesan’s explanation was that he participated in the ceremony because it was held in connection with the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and because prominent people in the field of culture were involved.

RSS Kerala District Karyawah P.E.Iushwaran responded that if he stands firm on his position, he will think regarding the next step and decide. Saji Cherian’s attack on the Constitution had nothing to do with dragging the RSS, he said.
