“Michael Jordan? I would have smoked him if I had played in his time”

An eternal reference in the eyes of many NBA players, Michael Jordan still commands immense respect from the entire orange ball planet. But a young league star recently went a little on fire by professing his ability to ‘smoke’ His Airness had he faced it. Beware of insolence though…

If more and more players see LeBron James as the GOAT, Michael Jordan continues to achieve consensus at the top of the basketball world. It is no coincidence that, very recently, Damian Lillard reiterated that the six-time NBA champion was the greatest player in history. This aura, MJ does not even need to cultivate it as his charisma hovers over the league.

Despite everything, the most competitive players sometimes know how to leave their admiration aside to think of the unthinkable, and dare to challenge the monument. Kobe Bryant was obviously a great specialist, but it seems that a certain Ja Morant wants to join the discussion.

Ja Morant cracks and provokes Michael Jordan

Guest of Taylor Rooks, in an interview during which he notably tackled the Warriors who had made fun of him following their title, Morant was asked regarding Michael Jordan. And following showing his respect, he dared to make a statement which obviously quickly ignited the web! Judge instead:

Ja Morant: “If I had met Michael Jordan? I would have said thank you, that’s for sure. I would have loved to play once morest him, in his time. But hey, I would have smoked him too”.

Taylor Rooks: “You would have smoked Michael Jordan?! »

Ja Morant: “No one has more confidence than me! »

Two solutions now, when the information will inevitably return to the ears of Michael Jordan. Either the mythical number 23 of the Bulls will take the news with a smile, recognizing himself in this demonstration of confidence from Morant. Either, conversely, MJ will not necessarily take the cheek of the young All-Star well, and will add his head to his little list…

The leader of the Grizzlies, he assumes everything. Author of an excellent season despite a defeat once morest the Warriors in the playoffs, the former Murray State is now the leader of a team respected and feared in the West. But to pass a course, and before thinking of “smoking” Michael Jordan, it will be necessary to go much further than the 2nd round in the playoffs.

Clad in his unshakeable self-confidence, Ja Morant allowed himself a cleat in the direction of Michael Jordan. One thing is certain: the confrontation between the two men at their prime would have been quite a spectacle, to be savored without moderation!
