Since the announcement of her retirement, the great artist Shams Al-Baroudi has been content with her family, keeping away from the spotlight of all kinds, and has been taking care of her four children and her home, rejecting many artistic shows and even television programs.
The great star talked regarding her daughter Nariman and the truth regarding what was reported regarding her entering the artistic community, and she said: Nariman is very similar to her aunt in features, but she took from me the color of my skin and my nature, as she is part of me, or rather she is me.
She added: Acting was not among her interests at all, as she studied at the German School of Nuns, then the American University and graduated as an engineer in computer programming, then she obtained a master’s degree in humanities in London and another in translation from the University of Edinburgh, and then a doctoral scholarship in the history of Arab women,
After all this, she and her friends in London of various nationalities formed a theater group to revive the Shakespearean theater, at their own expense, and despite our refusal to enter the field of acting, she surprised us with this step and that, regarding 3 years ago, she participated in theatrical performances at the Shakespeare Theatre.
She concluded: At first, we refused her entry into the field of acting, but we were surprised by her success in this prestigious work, and although acting is far from her studies, she succeeded in the experiment.
