Kaya/Tabaski: Imam Samad Ouédraogo calls the faithful to sobriety
Kaya, (AIB) – The Grand Imam of Kaya, El Adj Abdoul Samad Ouédraogo chaired this Saturday, July 9, 2022 the prayer of Aid El Kébir in place of the Nation of Kaya under the effective presence of many Muslim faithful and local authorities came to support the community.
Like other localities in Burkina Faso, the Muslim community of Kaya celebrated this Saturday, July 9, 2022 Eid El Kébir or sheep festival.
The great prayer held on the Place de la Nation was chaired by the great Imam El Hadj Abdoul Samad Ouédraogo.
A ten-minute prayer followed by a sermon. Sermon in which the Imam called on the Muslim faithful to show humility and mutual forgiveness, pledges of aix and social cohesion.
Sacrificing to Muslim tradition, El Hadj Abdoul Samad Ouédraogo sacrificed a ram as if to set an example for every Muslim to do the same upon returning home.
Duas have been made in favor of peace, social cohesion and also for a fruitful agricultural campaign.
“We prayed for the return of peace to Burkina Faso. We also called on the faithful not to exaggerate in the celebration and especially to take into account the neighbors who will not have the means to celebrate as it should. said the Grand Imam.
The local authorities headed by Colonel-Major Z. Blaise Ouédraogo, Governor of the Center-North region, President of the special delegation enhanced the brilliance of the ceremony by their effective presence.
“We came to support and encourage the Muslim community in a difficult security context. We share the same wishes for peace and social cohesion for our country in general. said Auguste Kinda, High Commissioner of Sanmatenga Province.
The sheep festival is celebrated this year in a difficult security context marked by terrorist attacks and displacement of populations and in a context of increased cost of living.
