Since the time you’ve been told that watching the Summer League in July makes you better men and women. New proof of this maxim last night, with a totally WTF match between the Kings and the Magic, WTF match and especially WTF “end of match”. We tell you all regarding it, with the pictures of course.
Kings vs. Magic in Las Vegas, night of July 9-10. Said like that necessarily, it only speaks to the very initiated, and we can even say without exaggerating that it will not overflow the ocean. Except that you probably know it, the Orlando franchise and the Sacramento franchise respectively drafted – among others – during the ceremony two cracks named Paolo Banchero and Keegan Murray, with picks 1 and 4, which already gave, at least , two good reasons to land in front of this “classic”. The other reason we kept an eye on the Thomas & Mack Center? The Kings of course, the Kings as a whole, because if you are a fan of the Californian franchise you know it better than anyone: there is always something going on with the Kings, and what is more in the Summer League since it is recalled that before this match Sacto remained on eight consecutive summer victories and two “coronas” during the Summer League 21 and the California Classic Summer League 2022.
Did we therefore have the right to an incredible meeting? Hmm, let’s say the end of the game speaks for itself. Come on, pictures and then we talk regarding it:

Let’s recap? The Magic lead by 6 points with seven seconds left in the game… but the Kings remain the Kings and throw all their forces into an incredible money time. The pivot Neemias Queta released a beast of a match and first sends an unexpected shot from the car park to pick up three small points, and on the throw-in Paolo Banchero, also author of a super-solid match, loses his eighth ball by returning it illico pesto rosso to… Keegan Murray, well, who takes on the costume of the nation’s hero by releasing a three almost at the buzzer. BANG, overtime, the Kings never die they only take very long naps. The first overtime won’t yield anything except another tie and a second overtime whose rule is as crazy as it is sexy: the first team to score wins. Yeah, like in school. It won’t take much for the first pick of the 2022 Draft to climb to the top of the bill with a counter as clutch as… questionable on Neemias Queta, Banchero who will follow up just behind with his sixth and last caviar of the evening, this one regaling Emanuel Terry and thus giving the victory to the Magic, in an explosion of goal-in-gold type joy reminding us of the finest hours of Lolo Blanc or David Trézéguet.
Have you ever been told that the Summer League is the S? Have you ever been told to inject Kings games into your veins? And that Keegan Murray and Paolo Banchero were cracks? No, well now it’s done.
