The majority of the French pilots of the airline easyJet will be on strike on Monday to protest once morest the company’s profit redistribution policy, which they consider too weak, their union announced on Saturday. The rate of strikers should reach 80 to 90% and walkout actions are planned all day from France, announced their spokesman Didier Bourguignon.
Delays
On its website, easyJet promises that it will do its best to minimize the impact of the disruptions. “We plan to operate all of our flights for this Monday on French territory. However, several delays may occur”, announces the airline, which hopes not to have to cancel any flight.
“We expect a very strong mobilization. But during the last strike in August 2012, the company had replaced all the striking pilots”, recalled Didier Bourguignon.

In a press release, the easyJet section of the National Union of Airline Pilots recalls that the British company announced significant profits at the start of the week, welcomed by the markets.
“It is quite different internally, where the management does not recognize the efforts made by the staff, and especially the airline pilots, for many years”, writes the section. “The negotiations that we have initiated with the management have failed. They remain deaf to our demands,” she adds.
