Books – Mahmoud Mostafa:

The Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa confirmed that there is nothing wrong with giving non-Muslims from the sacrifice due to their poverty, kinship, neighborhood or kindness of heart.

And the Dar Al-Iftaa clarified in its fatwa that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said in the hadith of Asma bint Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq, may God be pleased with them, “Pray for your mother,” and it is known that Umm Asma was one of the pagan infidels of Quraysh.

And Dar Al-Iftaa continued, that in the hadith of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, agreed upon: “There is a reward for every moist liver.”

Dr. Shawki Allam, the Grand Mufti of the Republic, said that it is permissible in Islamic law to weaken the resistance of animals before slaughtering them. Whether it is by giving her a light sedation, stunting her with a low-pressure electric current, or other methods decided by the specialists.

And the Grand Mufti of the Republic added in his fatwa, that it is stipulated that this anesthesia or electrocution does not lead to her death if she is left without slaughter, but rather she lives a stable life, then it is slaughtered following that by the legal method in the slaughter, then it is permissible at that time, and if anything of that leads to the death of the animal before it is slaughtered, then it It is considered dead and it is forbidden to eat it.

The Egyptian Dar Al-Iftaa confirmed that the sacrifice is worship and closeness to the Muslim who is able to extend to his family, relatives, and the poor, even if they are not Muslims, and the one who sacrifices should intend to sacrifice in order to draw closer to God Almighty.

The house stressed that the sacrifice must be from cattle, which are camels of all kinds and sheep, whether sheep or goats, male or female.

The Dar Al-Iftaa said that what is desirable before the sacrifice is a number of things, including:

1- That the one who is offering the sacrifice must tie the sacrifice a few days before the day of sacrifice; Because of the readiness for the ritual and showing the desire for it, so it will have a reward and reward.

2- To imitate and venerate it by analogy with the sacrificial animal; Because that feels glorified by her; The Almighty said: {And whoever honors the symbols of God, it is from the piety of the hearts} [الحج: 32]Taqleed: hanging something around the neck of an animal so that it is known that it is a sacrifice or a sacrifice, and taqlid: dressing the beast “the jelly” by attaching the girdle, and it is permissible to open it with the tightening of the lam, which is what the animal is covered with in order to maintain it.

3- To drive her to the place of slaughter in a beautiful market, not violent and not drag her leg to it; Because the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, said: “God wrote the charity on everything, so if you kill you, then do the killing, and if you are slaughtered, then you will be.

4- The one who is offering the sacrifice refrains from cutting his hair and nails from the first night of Dhul-Hijjah until he offers the sacrifice; According to the hadith of Umm Salamah, may God be pleased with her, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, said: “If you see the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah, and one of you wants to sacrifice, let him withhold from his hair and from a Muslim.”

5- That the one who sacrifices himself slaughters himself if he is able to; Because it is an act of sacrifice, and if he does not slaughter properly, then it is better for someone else to perform the sacrifice, and in this case it is desirable for him to witness the sacrifice. As the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, said to Fatima, may God be pleased with her: “Oh Fatima, go to your sacrifice and witness it.” Al-Hakim narrated it, and the schools of thought agreed on this.

6- To supplicate and say: “O God, from you and to you, my prayer, my sacrifice, my life and my death are for God, the Lord of the Worlds, who has no partner, and with that I have been commanded, and I am one of the Muslims.” Because the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, commanded Fatimah, may God be pleased with her, to say: “My prayer and my observance” was reported by Ibn Majah, and according to the hadith of Jabir, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Prophet, may God bless him and his family, slaughtered on the day of slaughter two rams, two horned, salty, two bearded, two bent, and when he directed them, he said: Narrated by Abu Dawood.

And the Dar Al-Iftaa indicated that it is desirable, following the name, to say the takbeer three times, and to pray and peace be upon the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, and to pray for acceptance.
