“Lhe launch of this platform, from July 10, 2022, aims to simplify and modernize consular services, in accordance with the High Royal Guidelines,” Kadmiri said in a statement to the press.

In this sense, Kadmiri said that this new measure is in line with the call of HM King Mohammed VI for the improvement of consular services and its digitalization and adds to a series of reforms launched by the ministry, in coordination with other ministerial departments.

This is thus an important turning point in the process of digitizing the services provided by the public administration, as recommended by the strategy of the Ministry concerning the reform of this area.

For his part, the director of financial affairs, information and logistics at the ministry, Talal Jennane, assured that this new electronic visa system is part of the efforts to improve consular services.

Thus, he described this new “eVisa” application system, via the www.acces-maroc.ma platform, as simple, fast and secure.

For his part, the deputy director of consular and social affairs, Kacem Ayar, highlighted the importance of this project which is part of the consular reform undertaken by Morocco.

The electronic visa will facilitate the access of foreign nationals to Moroccan territory, he said, noting that the price for the Express Visa (24 hours) is set at 1,100 dirhams and at 770 dirhams for the Standard Visa (72 hours). .

Three categories of foreign nationals will benefit from the “eVisa”, namely nationals of certain countries, the list of which is defined by the competent Moroccan authorities (Thailand and Israel as a first step), foreign nationals with a residence or residence permit valid for at least 180 days on the date of submission of the electronic visa application and residing in one of the countries of the European Union, the United States, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, from Norway, New Zealand and Switzerland as well as foreign nationals holding one of the non-electronic visas from Schengen countries, the United States, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and from New Zealand, multiple entry and valid for at least 90 days from the date of submission of the electronic visa application.
