As part of the holding of legislative elections coupled with local elections scheduled for Sunday, July 10, the government has announced the closure of the borders of the national territory of the Republic of Congo.

Below is the content of the related decree. Order No. 5608, bearing border closure throughout the national territory on the occasion of the legislative and local elections of July 10, 2022. The Minister for the Security of Public Order orders: Article 1 : Due to the behavior of local elections and the first round legislative elections, the borders of the Republic of Congo are closed for the day of July 10, 2022 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Article 2 : This decree will be registered and published in the official journal of the Republic of Congo.
