Skull and Bones finally finds a release date

First shown at E3 2017, Skull and Bones had changed into an Arlesian before talking regarding him once more, quite recently. And not only for the better.

Ubisoft organized yesterday evening a live entirely dedicated to (represent Skull and Bones, its development piracy game more than rowdy. The opportunity to come back to the main characteristics of the title, but also to engrave its release date in stone: November 8 on PC, PS5 et Xbox Series.

Climbing the social ladder of piracy

Colossal project in which no less than 10 Ubisoft studios participated (notably Singapore, Montreal, Paris and Shanghai), Skull and Bones cultivates a somewhat awkward resemblance to a certain Assassin’s Creed IV : Black Flagreleased in 2013.

Originally thought of as an extension of the latter’s piracy missions, it will offer the player the opportunity to become captain of his own ship, and team up with other sailors to climb to the top of the food chain. . A popularity that is measured by the level of Infamy, which grows as misdeeds are committed.

The missions promise to be varied (from collecting materials to attacking enemy ships) and will have the Indian Ocean of the late 17th century as a backdrop. The golden age of piracy, in which you will be free to act alone or in a group with two other buccaneers. The village of Saint-Anne will welcome new players when they start out, and allow them to enlist in dangerous missions and design their first makeshift boat.

Personalization at the heart of the game

And Skull and Bones obviously inspired cardboard Sea of Thieves from Rare, it should offer a much more generous range of customization. Ubisoft’s Marotte, the game relies heavily on customization, and on the equipment that the missions will allow us to manufacture to improve our ships.

Game-service to the bone, Skull and Bones will be launched at full price (€59.99 on PC and €79.99 on consoles). Ubisoft intends to offer its pirate title several years of additional content via regular updates, but also inevitable season passes that will extend a lifespan that seems first generous.

In addition to all the PvE (player versus environment) content described here, Ubisoft’s new game will also allow you to cultivate your rivalry with other pirates in player versus player battles at sea. But, watch out for your loot! We can recover it by returning quickly enough to the place of its death, but other pirates can steal it from you. Not to mention the risk of mutiny that exists if you neglect your crew.
