The French Union of the Cement Industry (SFIC), the French School of Concrete (EFB), and the social partners of the cement industry branch, are launching in partnership with OPCO2i a new online trades platform for students and people looking for retraining to support its ambitions in terms of recruitment, training and its actions in terms of decarbonization.
Driven by developments and innovations to support the decarbonization of the sector, the cement industry is constantly on the lookout for new talent. It employs around 5,000 people in France, more than 80% of whom are on permanent contracts and in 2020 more than 320 recruitments were made by its various players, highlighting the dynamism of the sector. The professions platform, a real showcase for the profession, aims to promote the professions and know-how of the industry, but also to give better visibility to career prospects and training offers in the sector. It provides a response to the industry’s human resources needs. This new tool intended for students looking for an orientation and for employees looking for retraining or professional development offers the possibility of discovering the multitude of professions offered by the cement industry in production, R&D, maintenance, quality-safety-environment and logistics. The platform will allow visitors to discover the world of the cement industry. In addition to the discovery of trades and training, the site provides a better understanding of the challenges and commitments of the sector, its operation, as well as the key figures of the industry. A fun and educational tool, the business platform offers an innovative and intuitive browsing experience.
