Russian President Vladimir Putin has hinted at the possibility of an escalation, saying that a full-scale operation of the Russian army has not yet begun in Ukraine.
In a meeting with party leaders in the lower house of the House of Representatives on the 7th local time, Putin said, “Now we are hearing that they are going to defeat us on the battlefield.”
“We need to know that we haven’t started doing anything serious in Ukraine yet,” he said.
Putin said he would not reject a peace deal, but warned that the more Ukraine refused, the more difficult it would be to reach an agreement.
