More than two years later, the American policeman who killed “George Floyd” was sentenced after he pressed his knee on his neck for more than 9 minutes

Al-Marsad newspaper: An American court has issued a sentence to imprison policeman Derek Chauvin, accused of killing African-American citizen George Floyd for 20 years, more than two years following the case that shook the streets of Minneapolis in the American city of Minnesota.

The accused was convicted of murder for violating the civil rights of American citizen George Floyd, following he killed him while on duty.

Floyd was killed in the face of video cameras on May 25, following policeman Chauvin pressed his knee on his neck for more than 9 minutes while he was handcuffed.

While the accused policeman was arresting the late for accusing him of using a forged $20 banknote to buy cigarettes from a store, the black American died later in a hospital, following it was found that the banknote was intact.
