Our prediction: Dundalk wins on the lawn of Drogheda (1.80)
It’s a poster between two teams who live a very different season. Dundalk currently sit second in the Championship. If Stephen O’Donnell’s players are far from the leader, Shamrock Rovers, they must above all pay attention to the competition behind and in particular in Derry City, which is a small unit behind. In great shape, they have not lost for ten matches, remaining on two wins and two draws in their last four trips. Conversely, Drogheda is not advancing. The last victory of the current eighth (out of twelve clubs) dates back to the end of May. If they are, for the moment, safe from the play-off place, Kevin Doherty’s players are far too irregular at home, being capable of the best as well as the worst. That’s why I would bet on a Dundalk success. A bet quoted at 1.80.
