The boss of the Policeman from the state capital of VirginiaGerald Smith, revealed that thanks to the report, they seized two assault rifles, a pistol and 223 rounds of ammunition at a home in the 3100 block of Columbia Avenue last Friday, July 1.

There, one person was also arrested and a surveillance was initiated to arrest another on Tuesday, July 5, in Albemarle County.

“They were actually planning to shoot our Fourth of July celebration,” Smith said. “We know what their intention was, but we don’t have their motive, we know they lived in the same place.”

The plan was to shoot in an amphitheater

Smith noted that the detainees’ plan was shoot in the city celebration of July 4 in the Dogwood Dell amphitheaterwith capacity for 2,400 people.

Those arrested were identified as Julio Alvarado-Dubon52 years old, and Rolman Balacarcel38. Both face charges of possession of weapons without being citizens of the United States.

“One phone call saved numerous lives on the 4th of July,” said Gerald Smith.

Both Richmond Police Chief and Virginia Governor Glen Youngkin called “ hero” al anonymous informant which revealed the plans for this foiled shooting.
