Al-Marsad newspaper: An Egyptian court sentenced the third and main accused to death by hanging in the case of inserting nearly 200,000 narcotic tablets in the bags of 3 pilgrims in the Eastern Province, and a fine of 500,000 pounds.

The details of the case date back to April 18, 2019, when the security services of the Sharkia Security Directorate received a notification from the warden of the Zagazig Police Department, stating that a report had been received from 3 pilgrims accusing a number of people of placing a large amount of narcotic pills in their travel bags to perform Umrah in the Kingdom. Saudi Arab.

According to Youm Al-Sabaa, it was found that the defendants formed a gang whose purpose was to export the narcotics in question, by placing tablets of the narcotic drug Captagon in the bags of the three victims. The main accused was sentenced to death and 5 others were acquitted.
