A Bassecourt company chosen to produce a vein recognition device

We know facial, voice, digital or even retinal recognition. “But none of these means of biometric authentication is 100% infallible. My colleagues are able to hack them in a few minutes”, explains Yasmina Sandoz, communication manager of Global ID.
This start-up from the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne has developed a novelty that takes the level of security up a notch: a finger vein recognition device, called Venoscanner.
Indeed, like fingerprints or the iris for example, no two individuals in the world have identical veins. “Even identical twins have different vessels”, assures Yasmina Sandoz.
