Here are some dates to mark on your calendar:

12 October c. Toronto

The Canadiens start the season at home for the first time since October 2013, taking on the most recent winner of the Hart, Ted-Lindsay and Maurice-Richard trophies, Auston Matthews, and the Maple Leafs.

It’s a classic duel between two clubs that will try to start the year on a good note, so strap on your hat, it’s promising! There is no doubt that our loyal supporters will set the Bell Center on fire!

The encounter might also result in the first-ever NHL game for the 2022 Draft pick. To be continued…

November 25 in Chicago

After four seasons behind the Habs bench as assistant coach, Luke Richardson was hired as Blackhawks head coach on June 29.

This will be Richardson’s first game once morest his former team, who had nothing but good things to say regarding the former defender during his time in Montreal.

And the ever-legendary rendition of the American anthem at the United Center makes this encounter a must-watch on TV if you can’t be there in person.

December 1 in Calgary

The annual trip to Western Canada is always a highlight of the calendar for players and local fans alike.

The night once morest former Canadiens winger Tyler Toffoli and the Flames will kick off the four-game trip which also includes stops in Edmonton (December 3) and Vancouver (December 5), before a final stay in Seattle ( December 6), on the other side of the border.

We already know that the fans will be there, as always, to support the Club in Alberta and British Columbia!

December 21 in Colorado

The Habs will invade the high city of Denver to cross swords with the defending Stanley Cup champions, who won the precious trophy for the third time in their history, on June 26.

If Artturi Lehkonen remains with the Avalanche, it will be the first time he will face Montreal since his March 22 trade.

The Finn has played a key role for Colorado in the most recent playoffs, scoring the game-winning goal in both the Conference Finals and the Stanley Cup Finals.

December 28 in Tampa Bay

The Amalie Arena should be full of Quebecers for the Canadiens’ first game following the Christmas break.

Martin St-Louis will lead his squad once morest captain Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov, Andrei Vasilevskiy and the Lightning in the first of two straight games at Florida State.

A matchup once morest the Panthers (December 29) will conclude the stay under the sun, before the team heads to Washington (December 31) to end the year 2022.

January 5 c. New York Rangers

The first home game of the New Year will see the Blueshirts come to the Bell Centre.

Artemi Panarin, Mika Zibanejad and Adam Fox are among the league’s most dynamic hockey players and Vezina Trophy winner Igor Shesterkin is recognized as one of the best goaltenders – so expect to be entertained.

The Rangers reached the Eastern Conference Finals last season, losing to the Lightning in six games.

February 11 c. New York Islanders

As tradition dictates, Family Weekend includes two followingnoon games over two days, due to the NFL Super Bowl.

The Islanders will be the opponent on Saturday, before Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and the Oilers arrive in the arena on Sunday.

Both meetings are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET.

February 28 in San Jose

The Canadiens will begin their trip to California with a stop in the San Francisco Bay Area to face off once morest the Sharks at SAP Center.

Then, two meetings in a row await them in California, with a match in Los Angeles (March 2) and another in Anaheim (March 3).

The four-game trip will culminate in a game once morest Max Pacioretty and the Golden Knights in Las Vegas on March 5.

March 13 c. Colorado

Fans will probably have the chance to show all the love they had for “Lehky” during his 5 and a half seasons spent in the uniform of the Canadiens during this exceptional evening.

From Nathan Mackinnon, Gabriel Landeskog, Mikko Rantanen to Conn Smythe Trophy winner Cale Makar, the Avalanche have a roster rich in star players that will challenge St. Louis soldiers to perform at their best.

Finding a way to defeat defending champions is always satisfying, no matter the circumstances.

13 avril c. Boston

There’s nothing better than ending the regular season with a game once morest the Bruins.

And it might be a very important meeting if both teams are in the playoff race.

With any luck, the Canadiens will start the post-season with the wind in their sails.
