Chinese display manufacturer BOE will supply OLED (organic light emitting diode) panels for iPhone 14 models.
According to the latest report from China, Apple reportedly approved the BOE OLED panel last week. Accordingly, BOE plans to start mass production of panels from the end of this month, and shipments are expected to begin in September.
The iPhone 14 series is scheduled to be released in four types: ▲6.1-inch iPhone 14 ▲6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max (or Plus) ▲6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro ▲6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Among them, BOE is expected to supply 6.1-inch LTPS OLED panels for iPhone 14. This year’s supply is said to be around 5 million units. Samsung Display supplies LTPS and LTPO panels to all models of the iPhone 14 series, and the quantity is estimated at regarding 60 million units.
LG Display is expected to supply LTPS and LTPO panels that are installed in ▲ iPhone 14 ▲ iPhone 14 Pro Max. The volume is said to be around 25 million units.
