new heat wave in the next few days

According to Météo-France, temperatures should gradually increase and remain above seasonal norms until the middle of July.

It is still too early to speak of a heat wave, but an intense heat wave will once once more hit the France in the coming days. As reported The Parisian, Meteo France estimates that temperatures, already high in the Southeast, “should continue to rise and remain above seasonal values, auguring hot weather with a peak in the middle of the week”.

This heat wave might last until mid-July. The daily quotes Gaétan Heymes, forecaster from Météo-France, according to which the phenomenon is explained by the presence of an anticyclone which “sets up on the British Isles, to probably then slide towards the continent”. Installed in France, the anticyclone should cause a gradual increase in temperatures until mid-July. These should rise well above the seasonal averages, and this, on almost all of the metropolitan territory.
