Since mid-June, the new arts district and its museum setting, baptized Platform 10, aroused general enthusiasm. Including internationally. To mark the launch of the activities on a single site of the Cantonal Museum of Fine Arts (MCBA), Photo Élysée (or photography museum) and the Cantonal Museum of Design and Contemporary Applied Arts (Mudac), a ticket of he entry of 15 francs allows you to visit the three structures.

Avoid Monday and Tuesday

Transferable and valid until the end of September, this ticket at a promotional rate has a dual objective: to increase the attractiveness and attendance of museums and to make culture accessible to all audiences. Theoretically, the ticket gives access to the three museums and all the exhibitions. But there is a catch: the MCBA is closed on Mondays, while Photo Élysée and the Mudac are not open on Tuesdays. “Nearly ten days ago, three German-speaking seniors were surprised and disappointed not to be able to see all the exhibitions”, indicates a source.

“It’s funny!”

Former director of “L’Agefi”, François Schaller witnessed the scene and is one of the disappointed. “It’s funny that a museum with so many directors can’t harmonize its schedules for a combined offer. I also find it unfortunate that the notices on the walls of Photo Élysée are only in French. Lausanne is still an international city, ”tackles the journalist.
