Governor Gaviria does not know the team announced by Esteban Restrepo

After former Secretary Esteban Restrepo announced the team that will make the joint in Antioquia with the government of Gustavo Petro, Governor Aníbal Gaviria stated that he is unaware of said group and He argued that as president he will maintain a direct relationship with Petro, as they had agreed.

“I don’t know, I don’t authorize a supposed connection group with the department of Antioquia. I stand by the conversation with Gustavo Petro where we agreed on a direct relationship, ”said the governor from his Twitter account.

In the message he also stated that with Petro not only agreed to maintain a direct relationship, but also to set up a work table for Antioquia and the National Government.

On the morning of this Tuesday, a joint meeting called Antioquia-Nación was held, in which the incoming national government would define the roadmap to work during the four-year period with the department. The meetings are expected to go until Friday, July 8.

In the table There were several people close to Daniel Quintero who resigned their positions to participate in Petro’s presidential campaign. One of them was the former Secretary of Government, Esteban Restrepo, who was appointed director of junction in Antioquia. Also present were the former Secretary of Social Inclusion, Juan Pablo Ramírez, who was in charge of the food security issue; and Juliana Colorado, former Secretary of the Environment, who will be at the junction of the 80 metro.

Other names that were at the meeting were Adolfo León Palacio, former congressman and president of the Board of Directors of Public Companies of Medellín in 2004, who will lead the Hidroituango front; Luis Llinás, former manager of the Petro campaign in Antioquia, who will lead the issue of the new metrocables; and Yolanda Perea, defender of the rights of victims of the armed conflict, who will lead the joint in peace and DD. H H.

After meeting the team there was criticism by some, not all, of the profiles chosen for this purpose. Former mayor Alonso Salazar questioned the election of Adolfo León Palacio, whom he considers to be a political quota of the former governor of Antioquia, Luis Pérez, and whom he does not see as suitable for the issue of Hidroituango, because he would not have strong knowledge on the matter.

Deputy Luis Peláez It was also asked who does the splicing and who receives it, as well as who is really appointing the members of the team for this purpose.

Subsequently, he supported the governor’s decision and stated that the junction might be built on individual interests, referring to the fact that there are a large number of faces on Quintero’s chips, who made a large part of his cabinet available to Petro so that he might get him votes in Medellin.

Other people close to Quintero were also present at the meeting, such as former councilor Albert Corredor; elected representative Alejandro Toro; and the Undersecretary of Population Groups, Juan Daniel Pulgarín.

After knowing the reaction of the departmental president, Esteban Restrepo replied that he is complying with the instructions of the president-elect. “I invite you to sit down to work #United when you return from vacation,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
