Transfers: an offer from Toulouse for João Moutinho (Orlando City)

After recruiting a Moroccan winger (Zakaria Aboukhlal), a Norwegian goalkeeper (Kjetil Haug) and a Dutch striker (Thijs Dallinga), Toulouse targeted a new foreign player as a possible reinforcement. As revealed by Foot Marketinformation confirmed by The TeamTéfécé made a so-called “lowball” offer to Orlando City to buy back at least the last months of the contract of the Portuguese left side João Moutinho (24), who will be free at the end of December.

Trained at Sporting Portugal, then left for the University of Akron and drafted in first position in 2018 by Los Angeles FC, he recently refused to extend, to favor a return to Europe. He has since been sidelined and hasn’t played in the Florida side’s last three games in MLS.

To replace Sylla?

The player, who has played 74 matches in the North American League in five years, also has several offers in Portugal and another from Venice, relegated to Serie B. If he chooses Toulouse, João Moutinho might succeed Issiaga Sylla ( 28 years old / contract until 2023), holder of the post in Ligue 2 last season but that the club will not retain in the event of an interesting offer.
