Williams F1 Nicholas Latifi acknowledged that 2022 might be his last season in F1.
Nicholas Latifi talked regarding rumors that he would be banished by Williams F1 for poor performance.
“Rumors and criticisms are part of the game,” Nicholas Latifi told RTL at Silverstone.
“But if you believe everything written, my season would have ended following Montreal.”
“We stick to the facts. Tomorrow we’ll talk to Jost Capito,” added Nicholas Latifi, referring to Williams F1 team representative.
27-year-old Nicholas Latifi, who provided considerable support to Williams F1 in the form of key team sponsor Sophina Foods, admits that his career is at stake.
“Looking at this year’s performance, we may not actually be able to drive in F1 next year,” admits Nicholas Latifi.
“But it’s very likely that we’ll drive in Williams next season.”
Nicholas Latifi downplayed the fact that the new Red Bull update at Silverstone will only be given to teammate Alex Albon.
“In general, you can only upgrade with one car at first,” said Nicholas Latifi.
“Of course I wanted to use it too. I hope it’s an important change and makes a difference to us.”
Nicholas Latifi, who advanced to Q3 for the first time this season in the qualifying for the F1 British Grand Prix, finished in 12th place in the final.
