Anticipation. The French health authorities are already considering the organization of the future flu vaccination campaign; vaccination recommended for all people living with HIV. The Directorate General for Health contacted the High Authority for Health (HAS) to determine the optimal schedule for starting flu vaccinations, taking into account the context of the Covid-19 epidemic. HAS has analyzed the data available and recommends maintaining the start of the campaign in mid-October in mainland France and in the overseas departments and regions, and a month earlier in Mayotte. It also recommends, if the context is confirmed, to combine this vaccination with that once morest Covid-19, in particular because of the similarity of the populations concerned by the two campaigns. After a study covering various elements (flu epidemiological surveillance data, vaccination campaign dynamics, new data on the co-administration of vaccines once morest influenza and once morest Covid-19), HAS considers that there is no has no argument for modifying the start period of the seasonal flu vaccination campaign in the northern hemisphere, and recommends maintaining it in mid-October in metropolitan France and in the overseas departments-regions (Martinique, Guadeloupe, Guyana) and in September in Mayotte, as soon as influenza vaccines are made available. HAS reiterates the importance of promoting influenza vaccination in order to achieve the objective of vaccination coverage of at least 75% for all groups for which this vaccination is recommended, including in the workplace. This objective is all the more important since, in the context of Covid-19, vaccination efforts once morest seasonal flu will help limit the overload of the healthcare system.
