Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is already in the starting blocks for October. Since there are no indications of a Call of Duty part for the year 2023, at least so far, that would mean Call of Duty is returning 2024 at the earliest with a new part return. Possible candidate would be a new Black Ops. Because, in an alpha test for the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile version held in May, there are probably two maps in one future Call of Duty leaked. Dataminers have apparently discovered corresponding references in the mobile game.
Where is the call of duty 2024 reference?
Leaker @RealityUK shared screenshots showing two loading screens. One showed the loading screen for the “Stealth” map, the other the loading screen for the “Pillage” map, unspectacular at first. The solution to the riddle lies in the file label.
Each file has an abbreviation in the name that indicates the associated game. IW9 means for example Infinity Ward 9. That said, the associated map file is from Infinity Ward’s ninth Call of Duty, which will be Modern Warfare 2.
The abbreviation of the two screenshots starts with T10was Treyarch 10 means. Here comes the twist, Treyarch has only developed nine Call of Duty games so far, most recently the one released in 2021 Call of Duty: Vanguard. Since there hasn’t been a Black Ops part since 2018, this might be a possible release.
There should even be some files for the “Escape from Tarkov” similar Call of Duty DMZ (probably “Demilitarized Zone”) mode in the Mobile Version have been.
Unfortunately @RealityUK temporarily suspended from Twitter, so you can no longer view the screenshots. Maybe an indication that something was wrong.
When is the next Call of Duty coming out?
- Herbst 2022: Modern Warfare 2
- Fall 2024: Possibly one new black ops
