But not only exercising, the secret of his fitness and youth is supported by the healthy diet he does. What are they?
Quoted from the Eat This page, the following is the diet that Tom does to continue to maintain his condition:
Eat Baked Food
There is no fried food menu for this movie star. According to Men’s Health, Tom has a habit of eating things cooked at low temperatures, especially those that are baked. That’s because foods cooked at high temperatures can cause chronic tissue inflammation and accelerate aging.
Avoid Carbohydrate Foods
Tom currently sticks to a 1,200-calorie diet to cut carbs. Nutrition scientist Paul Clayton told Men’s Health that carbohydrates can accelerate aging by creating insulin, the aging hormone.
Eat Healthy Snacks
With a hectic schedule, Tom stays energized with healthy snacks. According to Newshub, the star eats plenty of small snacks throughout the day, including freeze-dried blueberries and organic nuts. Blueberries are believed according to research to contain vitamin C and antioxidants that prevent skin wrinkles.
Avoid Sugar
Tom said he would avoid sugar when he was getting ready to star in a movie. However, he is also seen often sending cakes to some of his friends.
“I love sugar, but I can’t eat it because when I’m practicing, I do all these films, so I send it to everyone,” she explained.
Research shows that sugar can accelerate aging by causing inflammation and damaging collagen and elastin. Consuming too much sugar can make your skin look older.
