As Muslims all over the world prepare forHajj season This year, following a two-year hiatus due to the Corona pandemic, an old picture showed the Grand Mosque dozens of years ago.
Today, Monday, the King Abdulaziz House published the first color image of the mosque in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, taken in 1952 AD.
The photo, taken at the time by the US National Geographic magazine, showed what the Kaaba looked like and the features of the residential buildings that surrounded the mosque at that time.
While the King Abdulaziz House wrote on its Twitter account, “The pilgrims are preparing these days to perform the holiest rituals in Islam, and the large crowds head to the purest places with God, to document a spiritual tale entitled #Peace_Amin”, attached to the tag #Historical_Photo.
It is noteworthy that the review of that historical picture came in conjunction with Preparations for receiving pilgrims This year’s Hajj season.
