The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Sunday the launch, from August 2023, of an African Super League with an endowment of 100 million dollars. The details of this new competition will be unveiled next month during a ceremony of launch organized in Tanzania, CAF said in a statement. “A significant portion of CAF Super League money will be reinvested in African football and part of the process is to give $1 million each year to each of CAF’s 54 member associations as a development contribution. of football and youth”, specifies the president of the African Confederation, Patrice Motsepe, in the press release. The launch of this Super League was unanimously approved last year by the 54 member associations of CAF.
