A message to Putin
In this context, Truss considered that “the recovery of Ukraine following the aggressive war on the part of Russia will be a symbol of the power of democracy over tyranny,” as she put it.
She added that the move would send a strong message to Russian President Vladimir Putin that his attempts to destroy Ukraine have only led to the emergence of a stronger, more prosperous and united country.

She stressed that her country was at the forefront of the supporters of the Ukrainian government and will continue to remain at the forefront of the supporters of reconstruction and development.
Especially Kyiv
In addition, London will support, in particular, the reconstruction of Kyiv at the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to AFP.
It also plans to work with the Ukrainian authorities and their allies to host a conference supporting the country’s recovery in 2023. It will open an office in London to help coordinate these efforts.
It is noteworthy that since the launch of the Russian operation on the territory of the western neighbor on February 24, London has stood firmly by Ukraine, supporting it with weapons and equipment, while imposing the most severe sanctions on Moscow affecting various commercial and economic sectors.
It has also repeatedly urged the lifting of international pressure and Western sanctions on the Kremlin.
