“We are aware of a breach of the army’s Twitter and YouTube accounts, and the investigation is ongoing,” the ministry said on Twitter. “The military takes information security very seriously and we are in the process of addressing the issue. Until their investigation is complete, it would be inappropriate to provide further comments,” she added.
Videos regarding cryptocurrency and photos of businessman Elon Musk appeared on the army’s YouTube channel, while the army’s official Twitter account retweeted a number of messages related to the non-fungible token.
The British military apologized for this “temporary interruption” of its publications, saying, “We will conduct a full investigation and draw lessons from this incident.”
