A man and a woman were arrested on Saturday morning in Ottawa with a firearm a few steps from Parliament Hill.

Officers on patrol in the ByWard Market approached a vehicle with two occupants inside and noticed the driver had what appeared to be a handgun to his leg.
After refusing to get out of the vehicle, the man was arrested.
A loaded 9mm pistol and cocaine were seized.
A 22-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman from Gatineau have been arrested and charged and are due in court later today.
