To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the M badge, BMW has revealed the limited-edition 3.0 CSL Hommage, inspired by the 1973 3.0 CSL Batmobile, made famous by its appearance in the Batman movie series.
The M Sport division reviewed the design of the new model, which was entirely overseen by BMW M CEO Frank van Mill.
The car appeared in a modified coupe design, closer to the 3.0 CSL Hommage R that the German company introduced for the first time in 2015. The model bore clear changes to the bumper, the rear luggage compartment and the wheel arches.
A large modified rear spoiler, quad exhaust pipes and a roof-mounted carrier wing featured the same as in Batman’s Batmobile.
Rumors indicate that the new model is equipped with a modern 3.0 CSL engine that BMW promises with 600 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque and the ability to accelerate from 0-100 in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 320 kph.
The car comes with an eight-speed ZF gearbox, and the German company plans to produce only 50 models of the car at an expected price of 600,000 euros, and the car will be launched in the coming months of this year.
