Montana Aerospace Commissions New Facilities | company industry

(AWP) Montana Aerospace (AERO 14.64 -0.68%) has successfully completed the commissioning and the first test phase in three new extrusion lines. According to a statement on Friday, these should provide a substantial part of the sales and earnings development in the future.

A production line for seamless tubes made of special alloys, an extrusion line for titanium and hard metal profiles and one of Europe’s largest and most efficient lines for the production of up to 30 meter long aluminum wing structures were put into operation. All three systems are already in the qualification phase and are scheduled to go into series production at the end of 2022, according to the group, which is active in the aviation, automotive and energy infrastructure industries.

Montana Aerospace is currently seeing “an incredible growth dynamic among the leading aircraft manufacturers”, the two co-CEOs Kai Arndt and Michael Pistauer, who have been in office since today, are quoted as saying. By locating further extrusion plants in Europe, Montana Aerospace has reduced both the delivery times and the transport routes “significantly” for its customers. This can already be seen in the order acquisition, which is on or above plan.
