Sharjah: Taxi fares in Sharjah also change depending on the rise and fall of fuel prices. With this, taxi fares in Sharjah will change every month. As the fuel price increases, the taxi fare will increase and if it decreases, the fare will decrease. This was informed by Sharjah Transport Authority.
Fuel prices are set at the beginning of each month in the UAE. The new fuel prices for this month will come into effect from Friday. The taxi fare will also change accordingly. Currently the minimum fare is Dh10. Fuel prices have been increasing in the UAE for the past few months. If the rate increases further, it will directly affect common people including non-residents. Petrol prices in the UAE have risen by more than 56 percent since January 2022. The main reason is the Russia-Ukraine war.
Fuel prices have increased in the UAE this month as well. In this case, there will be an increase in the taxi fare from today.
