Inevitably, when a handful of brave people launch an assault on the beta of a game, some crisp information emerges. It is therefore thanks to these lucky few that we were able to make small discoveries concerning the functionalities ofOverwatch 2but also its performance which may have been one of the black spots of its elder ! Unlike the first installment which did not receive an update for native support of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|Sthis will be the case for Overwatch 2 which, in addition to turning to 120 FPS (in “Frame rate” mode), will even have the right to VRR support (variable refresh rate, which allows, among other things, a better fluidity of the image) and at two other modes “Balanced” and “Resolution”.

Unfortunately, this good news is chased by another. Or rather two others, because the lucky few who were able to try the beta noticed changes to the character of Mercy and that of Symmetra, which upset them a little. If the former received slight drops (nerves), Symmetra seems much more impacted since it only has 70 munitions (instead of 100), no longer regenerates on contact with barriers and inflict less damage with its secondary fire (it is, in return, twice as fast as before). Last detail spotted, the teleporters are less effective: according to the players, their duration is now only ten seconds, their health is lower et longer charging time. Between now and its release in October, it’s a safe bet that other changes will irritate players!
