Free agent following declining his option but widely expected to stay at the Clippers, Nicolas Batum decided from the very beginning of free agency. With a nice jackpot at stake!
Was there really suspense? Since the end of the Clippers season, but more broadly since his arrival in Los Angeles, Nicolas Batum has never ceased to profess his love and respect for the franchise that welcomed him following his painful stint at the Hornets. So unsurprisingly, Batman returned to the Clipps side:

Free-agent winger Nicolas Batum has agreed to a two-year, $22 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers, sources tell Yahoo Sports.
This contract is much more interesting than the first two signed by Batum with the Clipps. It must be said that the Frenchman has proven his value as a Swiss army knife on the floor, his importance in the locker room, and he therefore pockets this well-deserved check. Hoping, once once more, to help Tyronn Lue and his clique reach the NBA Finals that have been running away from them for too long.
Nicolas Batum can be happy with his free agency: the Frenchman remains at the Clippers and signs a nice contract at this stage of his career. All good!
