Barcelona announced the sale of 10% of the television rights of the Spanish football league “La Liga” for a period of 25 years, to the American investment fund (Six Street) for 207.5 million euros. Barcelona is expected to earn an estimated profit of 267 million euros for this season from this deal.

By concluding this agreement at the Camp Nou offices, Barcelona will close the current financial year (2022/2021) with a profit. Barcelona would have recorded a financial loss of 161 million euros during this financial year, had it not done so.

A few days ago, FC Barcelona members agreed to sell 49% of the “BLM” (Barcelona licenses and trade).

568 members approved the sale, 65 opposed and 13 abstained on Juan Laporta’s project to activate economic levers.

Barcelona President Joan Laporta aims from the economic leverage, to reduce the economic burdens on the club, and it is expected that Barcelona will succeed in concluding a number of important deals during the current summer market.
