TThree people were killed and two others were seriously injured following the collapse, on Wednesday evening, of part of the pediment of a cafe located on Boulevard Abdelmoumen, in the Maarif district, indicate the local authorities of the prefecture of the arrondissements. of Casablanca-Anfa.
The victims were on the terrace of the cafe when the cement frieze installed on the exterior pediment of the premises completely collapsed, specifies the same source, noting that a person died at the site of the accident, while that the other two died during their evacuation to the hospital.
As for the two injured people, they are currently under medical supervision at the University Hospital Center (CHU) Ibn Rochd in Casablanca.
An investigation has been opened by the competent authorities under the supervision of the prosecution to determine the circumstances of the accident and establish responsibilities, concludes the same source.
