Experts advise the need to maintain weight, and make diet a priority, so that we can enjoy the best health following the age of sixty. The Times of India provided some simple ways to achieve this goal.

1- Fat loss:
After reaching the age of 60, the focus should be on building muscle and strengthening bones rather than just losing weight, and stronger and healthier bones can be built through weight-bearing exercises, while dedicating energy to a new strength-training routine.

2- Hydration:
In light of attempts to lose weight, work must be done to improve general health, and it is necessary to drink an adequate amount of water and fluids necessary for digestion and metabolism. And we must realize that our bodies easily mistake thirst for hunger, causing us to consume more calories than we need.

3- Increase your protein:
If you have a strong craving for carbohydrate-rich foods, increase protein instead to feel full and reduce the likelihood of unhealthy snacks.

4 – Do not despair:
While reaching a healthy weight at age 60 is possible rather than impossible, it may take longer. You may not be able to push yourself during exercise, which results in fewer calories burned, but your body will take care of itself if you stick to a healthy diet and exercise routine.

5- Strength training:
Muscle loss slows your metabolism, which explains why you are more likely to gain weight, but the latest research has shown that weight training helps increase metabolism by increasing muscle mass, so you should try to push yourself to lift the right amount of weight.
