German swimmer Florian Willbrook won the 5 km open water race at the World Swimming Championships in Budapest 2022.
Florian Willbrook, 24, finished the race with a time of 52:48.80 minutes, 3.90 seconds ahead of Italian Gregorio Paltrinieri, who finished second, and 25.10 seconds over Ukrainian Mikhailo Romashuk, who finished third.
With this victory, the German swimmer achieved his fourth medal in the “Swimming World Cup” following winning the mixed relay gold, 6 km, in open water, silver in the 800-meter freestyle, and bronze in the 1500-meter freestyle.
