A notice of expression of interest for an international call for tenders for the selection of a partner for the project to finance, build and operate the road-rail bridge over the Congo River between Brazzaville and Kinshasa, has been signed Wednesday, June 22 in the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The file relating to the Jean Jacques Bouya road-rail bridge project was put on the table for discussion during the meeting in Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Wednesday June 22, between the Minister of the Republic of Congo in charge Regional Planning, Jean-Jacques Bouya and the Minister of State of the DRC, in charge of Planning, Christian Mwando Simba. The two personalities jointly signed the notice of expression of interest for the selection of a strategic partner for the financing of the construction of the road-rail bridge over the Congo River between Brazzaville and Kinshasa. This signature aims at the materialization of the said project to connect the two closest capitals of the world, namely Brazzaville and Kinshasa. « This is an important step taken. We can only welcome the willingness of the two presidents to implement this. No state can hope to develop alone, it’s an illusion, it’s not possible. And what is missing from Africa’s development? it’s connectivity », said Jean-Jacques Bouya. For his part, Christian Mwando Simba, the signing of this document will give a new impetus to socio-economic exchanges between the two countries but also on the continent. This ceremony was held in the presence of Marie-Thérèse Foula, Commissioner in charge of Territorial Development and Infrastructure at the Economic Community of Central African States (CEEAC), and several experts.
