Doha: Qatar welcomes artists who want to perform at the World Fair, from song and dance to drama and folk art. During the World Cup, which takes place from November 21 to December 18, World Cup organizers welcome visitors to perform outside the stadiums, in the fan zone, on Cornish Street, the venue of non – stop celebrations, and at various venues, including Education City. The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, the local organizers of the World Cup, urges artists who have excelled in the fields of visual arts, handicrafts, fashion and design, performing arts, drama, music and cinema to submit their applications as soon as possible.
Those selected from the applicants will be given the opportunity to present their artistic performances in front of a flood of fans from different countries during the month of the World Cup. The organizers explained that such an opportunity is created to give a unique experience to the fans and artists.
Artists must submit an application through the Supreme Committee’s website. The application should be submitted along with personal information, the art form they want to perform, the relevant details and the information describing their performance.
The venue will allow the nominees to perform when they arrive in Qatar during the World Cup. At the same time, air travel, accommodation and other expenses must be borne on their own. The Supreme Committee said concessions would be made available for accommodation.
