The queue at the Finlyandsky railway station June 26, 2022 – City – Saint-Petersburg News

On the evening of June 26, huge queues of passengers formed at the Finlyandsky railway station, who might not buy tickets for electric trains at departure stations or on the train. Tatyana, a reader who stood in line for 40 minutes, told Fontanka regarding this.

According to our interlocutor, the lines accumulated from people who traveled from stations where ticket offices are currently not working, and in electric trains that did not have a traveling cashier who might sell a ticket right on the train.

As a result, all arrivals were forced to purchase a ticket already at the exit from the Finland Station. There are only two ticket vending machines in this zone, only one of them worked, our reader explained. In addition, two more cash desks were working, but the three of them obviously might not cope with the flow of passengers returning from summer cottages and rest.

“Here’s 40 minutes [в очереди] and defended. The previous train from Zelenogorsk was also without a cashier. Sosnovskaya train came following us, there too [не было разъездного кассира] Now not at all [железнодорожных станциях] cash desks work: in Dibuny, Pesochnaya and Pargolovo, for example, they don’t, ”said the Petersburger.

She added that the lines aroused the indignation of the people who were forced to stand in them.

“The people were outraged. The girl became ill – she rode in the train from Zelenogorsk, the train was full. Do you understand? And to stand in line, this is a disgrace, ”the lady concluded.
