After the selections of Dyson Daniels et MarJon Beauchamp in the NBA draft, the Ignite team continue to recruit beautiful people. According to Woj the winger Matas Buzelis (2m08), a 5-star rookie, has decided not to go through the NCAA box and instead join the G League talent pool. He still has one season left in high school and he won’t join the G League until 2023-24.
Buzelis, coming off a big season at Brewster Academy, which he led to the title in New England, was also selected for the Nike Hoop Summit in 2022 and the Team USA minicamp in New Orleans during the All- Star Game. He will play next season at the prestigious Sunrise Christian Academy.
He had offers from big colleges and had narrowed his roster to Kentucky, North Carolina, Florida State and Wake Forest.
