Morocco qualify for the final by beating Egypt

Le Atlas Futsal Lions in the Arab Cup final. Hicham Dgig’s men won once morest their Egyptian opponents in the first semi-final match of the Arab Futsal Cup on June 26 in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Defending champions, the Moroccans dominated the first half (4-1), before finishing the match with a wide score of (5-2).

During the group stage, the Atlas Lions had crushed the teams of Kuwait (6-4), Somalia (16-0) and Mauritania (13-0) before dominating that of Libya in quarter final (3-0). In the final, the national team will face the winner of the classico of the Gulf, Iraq-Kuwait, to oppose this evening in the same Saudi of Dammam.

Internationally, the Moroccan Futsal team has risen to 10th place in the world, according to the ranking published Saturday by Futsal World Ranking. The national team, which has 1,429 points, ranks first at the continental and Arab levels.
