Nothing phone(1) benchmark exposure confirmed that it does not use Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor-ePrice.HK

Although the Hands-on video of the famous tech YouTube channel MKBHD revealed that the Nothing phone(1) is equipped with a unique body design, including seamless bezels and an LED notification light bar on the back, netizens were amazed. However, as the release date of Nothing phone (1) is approaching, more and more negative news broke out.

Specs differ from expectations

A few days ago, Nothing put 100 numbered phone(1) special editions into the auction on StockX, a trendy item trading platform, and the number of bidders was less than 150. The information published on the auction platform also shows that the phone(1) may not be available in the US, and Nothing plans to launch the phone in the US market. Some foreign media saw traces of the Nothing phone(1) on Geekbench, a benchmarking website, and the resulting specifications were far from what many people expected.

Adopt 2021 release processor

Often advertised as Nothing, which has a close relationship with Qualcomm, the outside world believed that the phone(1) would use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mid-range processor released in May this year. As a result, the Geekbench test model used the Snapdragon 778G+ released in October last year. With 8GB of RAM and Android 12 preloaded, the single-core and multi-core scores are 797 and 2,803, not particularly bad, but certainly not in the order of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
