The date of Eid al-Adha 2022 and the stand of Arafat

The crescent of the month of Dhul-Hijjah is born immediately following the conjugation occurred at exactly 4:52 am Cairo local time on Wednesday, 29/6/2022 AD (the day of sighting).

The new crescent remains in the sky of Makkah Al-Mukarramah for 32 minutes, and in Cairo for 37 minutes following sunset on that day (the day of sighting), and in the governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the new crescent remains in their sky for periods ranging from (32-37 minutes). In Arab and Islamic capitals and cities, the new crescent remains following sunset on that day for periods ranging from (23-43 minutes).

Thus, the first of the astronomical month of Dhu al-Hijjah 1443 AH will be on Thursday 30/6/2022 AD.

• The Arafat stop for the astronomical year 1443 AH will be on Friday 8/7/2022 AD.

• The blessed Eid Al-Adha for the year 1443 AH will be astronomical on Saturday 9/7/2022 AD.
