The first game to leave the PS Plus Extra games catalog will do so on July 5th, 2022 – just a few days away. Some well-known titles will soon follow. So if you are using the highest PS Plus service and not yet Red Dead Redemption 2 played, then you should start playing as soon as possible!
As Eurogamer.net first reported are currently two games, Shadow Warrior 3 (PS4) and Siberia (PS3), already slipped in the section called Last Chance to Play. Shadow Warrior 3 will be leaving PS Plus Extra once more on July 5th, 2022, although it was only available on PS Now since March 1st. The PS3 title Syberia is playable until July 19, 2022.
Some other PS Plus games already have expiration dates today. These don’t appear in the Last Chance section yet, but if you specifically search for them, they will reveal an end date:
- NBA 2K22 – 31. August 2022
- WRC 10. – 31. August 2022
- Red Dead Redemption 2 – 20. September 2022
- Red Dead Redemption – 17. Oktober 2022
- Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare – 17. Oktober 2022
PS Plus Extra promises “up to 400” PS4 and PS5 games
There are currently 429 PS4 and PS5 games included in Extra, more than previously promised. As with Xbox Game Pass, games come and go. But there are also regional differences.
In addition, there are “up to 340” retro games from the PS1, PS2 and PSP era, as well as PS3 titles via cloud streaming. There are currently 404 retro games. If you count the cloud streaming titles, then there are currently 365.
