Halle (Saale)/MZ – The Gisa Lions MBC have signed playmaker Alexis Pana for the upcoming season in the women’s basketball league. As the club announced on Wednesday, the 23-year-old American signed a one-year contract in Halle.
Pana was born in Hawaii, last played for CSM Alexandria in Romania’s first division. There she was the best player in almost all relevant statistics, averaging 13.5 points, 4.2 assists, 6.1 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game.
Gisa Lions MBC: Devran Tanacan must go
“Alexis is a young, promising player with strengths at both ends of the field, who is far from finished with her development,” says coach Katerina Hatzidaki regarding Pana, who will direct the Lions’ game together with Laura Schinkel in the future.
Devran Tanacan will no longer play for the Gisa Lions MBC. The Turkish center player is leaving Halle once more following one season. In the center position, Hatzidaki plans with captain Barbora Kasparkova and access Uju Ugoka.
